Runway Gen-4.5 is still a beast — the quality is cinematic. But it's expensive, and sometimes it feels a bit sterile, like it's too polished and lacks a certain character.

For me Kling is the best balance between results and costs. No doubts.

We've basically solved 'make a pretty 8 second clip' and completely failed at 'tell a story.' Every tool on this list is amazing at individual shots but the second you need continuity, it falls apart.

Cost ~$240/month across Kling, Freepik, invideo, and Suno plus credits for Veo 3.1 and Sora. This took 3 weeks. Not 20 minutes. There's a lot of iteration.

For $200 a month we shouldn't be as limited as we are in terms of how often we can use the storyboard and the video gen credits. It definitely did not feel like a Pro membership experience should feel.

When I first started using it, it wasn't always reliable, but lately their AI has gone so much better. I like the simplistic dashboard, the choices of style, and the ability to create a music video in an autonomous fashion.

I curate music on YouTube and Revid has made it exceptionally easy to add to the song. I can generate the scenery that I think a song creates in my head. After some work, it's there on my screen.
